We attended an amazingly beautiful monthly in our new neighborhood in Brooklyn called "Dances of Vice."
It is safe to say we won't be missing any of the future events!

Don't know about you, but I've always loved playing dress-up. Get ready
to don your most outrageous attire to see and be seen at the
"interactive-masquerade-extravaganza" PARIS IS BURNING Saturday night at
The Mockbee (2260 Central Pkwy., Brighton). Although the event shares
its name with a 1990 drag-themed movie, much more is in store for
partygoers: performance art, eclectic dance, crazy fashions and
refreshments (to be enjoyed responsibly, of course). Hot highlights
include fire juggling from Incendium Arts and Roesing Ape's atmospheric
audio-visual stimulation. The deliciously over-the-top Barnyard
Burlesque troupe, creators and purveyors of some of the most elaborately
fantastical costumes around, will be strutting their stuff and, well,
stripping some off. (Keep your eyes peeled for cool, customized
pasties!) The evening's organizing collective, Jam Productions, will
present a clubby, interpretive dance piece. Watch out for Holly Price of
recently formed contemporary dance company LivingBreath Concern, who
will play with aerial work and innovative stylings. When it comes to

Recently, some people who were very close to Greer have started posting their memories of her on a group we belong to "The Motherboards." In addition to our dear friend Jojo Baby's memories, photos and tributes, Greer's niece Cloey tells the Lankton side of the story of her life and death. Then Greer's Husband Paul tells his side of the story, along with the most moving tribute to her memory.
It really is a "must read." Even those who do not yet know her work will be amazed.
